February K-9 Month

As a way of raising awareness and providing visibility for the Police K-9 community, The Hometown Foundation organizes K-9 Awareness during the months of February and March. K-9 Awareness is a multi-faceted campaign consisting of in-store fundraising, cash collection boxes in local businesses, t-shirt sales, Blue Jeans for Blue Paws, and more. Funds collected are used for purchasing Police K-9s, GPS tracking collars, safety equipment, and training.

Throughout this campaign, we partner with our independent stores and retailers to host in-store fundraising programs. Each store has the opportunity to choose one of our various programs to implement in their store, including: Hang Tags or Round-Up Program. The Hometown Foundation also hosts in-store events with local K-9 Units to interact with the community and allow the community to interact with the K-9 their donations are benefitting. Throughout the months of February and March, The Hometown Foundation additionally raises awareness and funds through restaurant kick back nights and local fundraisers.
