The Hometown Foundation, Inc. recognizes Police K-9 Awareness during the months of February & March, where we focus on raising funds for K-9 Units within local and state police departments across the country. Our Police K-9 Awareness program aims to equip local and state police departments with Police K-9s, as well as necessary training equipment and tools they require to succeed at their job.
Through this multifaceted program, 50% of all funds raised will be used to support the K-9 Unit department of your choice and the other 50% of funds will benefit The Hometown Foundation's Police K-9 Awareness Program. If you do not have a K-9 Unit in your local department, 100% of the proceeds will go to The Hometown Foundation to support our K-9 Awareness Program benefitting police departments across the country.
To date, 67 Police K-9s have been donated to 15 states across the United States. The Police K-9s have had an immense impact on the towns in which they serve. They have saved countless lives, found missing persons, recovered and removed narcotics from the community, and bridged the gap between the Police Officers and community members. Police K-9s serve as the most valuable asset to police manpower and it is up to us to help fund them. We hope you will sign up to fundraise and support K-9 Awareness Month!
