Committed to assisting those fighting a major illness
Major Illness or Those in Need
The Hometown Foundation is committed to helping those affected by major illnesses and those in need through the following initiatives:
Raised over $2 million dollars through our Birdies & Horsepower event dedicated to the Major Illness pillar
Annually donates over 250,000 meals through our HungerLESS Holidays Initiative
Partner with Connecticut Children's Hospital to host The Concurso Ferrari and Friends Event, annually raising over $160,000 for children facing major illnesses
Annually gifts over 1,700 toys annually through our Hometown Holidays Toy Drive
Everyone looks forward to the joys of celebrating over a family meal during the holiday season. Sadly, the thought of having a Thanksgiving dinner is one that many families dream of, but are not fortunate enough to enjoy. The Hometown Foundation hosts our annual HungerLESS Holidays program to provide turkeys and produce to families suffering from food insecurity during the holiday season.
Every holiday season The Hometown Foundation partners with local businesses and organizations to collect new and unwrapped toys to donate to children in need. The Hometown Holiday Toy Drive allows The Hometown Foundation to share the impactful message of the importance of giving to others.
Families welcoming premature babies often find themselves unprepared for the arrival of such tiny, fragile newborns, many of whom face serious medical challenges. Even the smallest clothing available in stores is usually too big, uncomfortable, or impractical for a baby in critical care. Hometown Hope for Preemies fundraises to purchase custom onesies thoughtfully created with access points for medical tubes, ensuring comfort without compromising care.
The Hometown Foundation, Inc.'s Birdies & Horsepower event is a golf tournament and evening event collaboration that raises funds to assist those battling a major illness and highlights the dedicated contribution of the medical field. Birdies & Horsepower is a not-to-be-missed miss event of golf, horses, cars, awareness and giving!
Join the Hometown Foundation for a General Motors Car Show at Richard Chevrolet, in Cheshire CT to benefit The Angelman Syndrome Foundation, a rare neuro-genetic disorder affecting approximately 1 in 15,000 live births, characterized by developmental delays, lack of speech, seizures, and walking an balance issues, often accompanied by frequent laughter and a happy demeanor.
