Covid-19 Relief Donations

The Hometown Foundation, Inc. supported the COVID-19 pandemic through our Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative. Major Illness is a primary focus for The Hometown Foundation and during this international epidemic, we chose to react and assist. The Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative was created to assist essential medical staff, first responders, and emergency response personnel who are working tirelessly around the clock fighting COVID-19 to keep our communities safe. The COVID-19 Relief initiative targeted support to assist essential staff working in high-risk areas across Connecticut and areas of the Northeast that had the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases.

100% of proceeds raised for the Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative will be used to purchase hand sanitizer, cleaning products, and food supplies for these essential service providers.

The Foundation feels it is pertinent to provide hand sanitizer and cleaning products to essential staff to keep them – and their work areas – clean and sanitized. Additionally, it is vital to keep our essential staff who are working well fed. During these long days, is it difficult for essential employees to make food or find the time to purchase food, our goal was to provide them nutritious snacks that can keep them satiated during the long work hours.

Through our relationships with our corporate partners at Bozzuto’s Inc., we are able to purchase high-demand items, food, and select products in large quantities directly fom wholesale vendors. This accessibility truly sets The Hometown Foundation, Inc. apart from other organizations as we execute impactful allocation of funding and products during times of crisis.
