The holiday season is a time when communities come together—and retailers play a vital role in making that possible. HungerLESS Holidays offers stores a meaningful way to engage customers, inspire employees, and help ensure families and individuals in your community have access to nutritious meals when they need them most.

Through the combined efforts of generous sponsors, community partners, and participating retailers, the 2025 HungerLESS Holidays program made a remarkable impact. Together, we helped more than 280,000 individuals through the donation of 35,000 turkeys and 170,000 pounds of fresh produce, delivering critical support to neighbors facing food insecurity.

Many retailers have long-standing, close relationships with their local food pantries and food support organizations, often working side by side to serve neighbors in need throughout the year. HungerLESS Holidays builds on those trusted partnerships, giving retailers a meaningful opportunity to deepen local connections, unite teams around a shared purpose, and build goodwill with customers during the holiday season.

Through this multifaceted fundraising program, 50% of all funds raised directly benefit a local food pantry or food support organization in your community, selected by you, ensuring immediate, visible local impact. The remaining 50% support The Hometown Foundation’s HungerLESS Holidays Initiative, which purchases turkeys, produce, and canned goods to provide fully sustainable meals to families and individuals experiencing food insecurity across communities throughout the Northeast.

To further strengthen local impact, The Hometown Foundation provides 40 frozen turkeys to each retailer that ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES in a Hangtag or Round-Up Program, enabling stores to directly donate food to their selected local pantry or food bank.

At the conclusion of the program, each participating retailer submits a single check for 100% of the funds raised to The Hometown Foundation, Inc. Once received, the Foundation distributes 50% of the proceeds to the retailer’s designated local food support organization, while the remaining 50% supports the broader HungerLESS Holidays Initiative, extending the reach of your generosity beyond your store and throughout the region.
