The Hometown Foundation, Inc. is supporting the current COVID-19 pandemic through their Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative. Major Illness is a primary focus for The Hometown Foundation year-round and during this international epidemic, we chose to react and assist. The Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative was created to assist essential medical staff, first responders and emergency response personnel who are working tirelessly, around the clock fighting COVID-19 to keep our communities safe. The COVID-19 Relief initiative will target support to assist essential staff working in high risk areas across Connecticut and potentially into other areas of the Northeast that have the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases.
100% of proceeds raised for the Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative will be used to purchase hand sanitizer, cleaning products, and food supplies for these essential service providers.
The Foundation feels it is pertinent to provide hand sanitizer and cleaning products to essential staff to keep them, along with their work areas, clean and sanitized. Additionally, it is vital to keep our essential staff who are working continuously, well fed. During these long days is it difficult for essential employees to make food or find the time to purchase food, our goal is to provide them nutritious snacks that can keep them satiated during the long work hours. Our essential medical professionals and emergency response personnel are working around the clock to fight COVID-19 and our goal is to supply them the necessary tools needed to allow success in eradicating this pandemic.
As a result of our relationships with our corporate partners, we have the accessibility to purchase high demand items, food or select products, in large quantities directly from wholesale vendors. This accessibility, truly sets The Hometown Foundation, Inc. apart from other organizations as we execute impactful allocation of funding and products during times of crisis.
The community can assist in this initiative by fundraising, raising awareness or making a donation to the Hometown COVID-19 Relief initiative so that essential products can be purchased.
