What Is Our Police K-9 Expo?

The Police K-9 Expo is sponsored by funds raised during The Hometown Foundation, Inc.’s annual Police K-9 Awareness Campaign.  K-9 units from around the country are welcome to participate in certification courses, seminar training and fundraising workshops. The program provides all participants with 16 hours of Continuing Police K-9 education which is certified by the North American Police Work Dog Association. The coursework is taught by influential K-9 instructors and leaders in the field. The training covers patrol work, tracking, explosives, building searches, narcotics and apprehension. Each session includes theory, practical exercise, and testing to prepare the K-9 units.

The K-9 Expo is held at our annual Dream Ride Experience. In 2018, thousands of hours of training were provided through the use of our K-9 training facility and the Police K-9 Expo.
